Description

Revolutionary War-dated manuscript DS, signed “George R.,” one page both sides, 7.5 x 11.75, May 10, 1777. King George grants James Mansfield "full and free Leave, License & Permission to be Councel for the said George Dodwell Esq." for a trial concerning "certain Trespasses, Assaults and Misdemeanors on the Prosecution of Charles Bourchier." Signed in the upper left by the king. White paper seal remains affixed to left side. Double-matted and framed with an image of the King George to an overall size of 21.75 x 17.75, featuring a window in the backing for viewing the reverse. In fine condition.
