Description

Member of the House of Habsburg (1578-1637) who served as Holy Roman Emperor from 1619 to 1637; his acts started the Thirty Years' War. Untranslated vellum manuscript DS in German, signed “Ferdinand,” one page, 22 x 12.5, no date. Matted and framed to an overall size of 27 x 18o; the backing bears an affixed Goodspeed's Book Shop label. In very good to fine condition, with moderate overall rippling and two small areas of vellum loss.
