Beautifully double-matted and framed to an overall size of 15 x 16.75. In fine condition. Officially establishing Gershwin as a serious composer, Rhapsody in Blue premiered in the concert An Experiment in Modern Music, held at New York's Aeolian Hall, New York, on February 12, 1924, and performed by Paul Whiteman and his band with Gershwin playing the piano.
