Revolutionary War hero (1756–1818) who captured British posts in New York and in the South; he was also the father of Robert E. Lee. Third-person manuscript DS, signed once within the text and again at the conclusion, one page, 7.25 x 9.25, June 4, 1794. In part: “I Henry Lee of Richmond in the state of Virginia do hereby constitute & appoint…Forrest my true & lawful attorney for me & in my name & behalf to sell, assign, and transfer unto any person or persons sixty five shares held by me in the bank of Columbia.” White paper seal remains affixed to right side. In very good to fine condition, with stains to the left edge, and two tears to the left edge repaired on the reverse with old tape. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
