Letter to Lucile Palmaro, in part: “I will probably be going to New York end of October and from there to LA for the first of November, and maybe back to NY to return home. Now with the direct…flight daily NY–Nice–NY it is very nice. I promise to give you a buzz either incoming or outgoing…The season was very good, a lot of people, the hotels were full, and so many cars that circulation and traffic were terrible.” Rainier adds a brief postscript, “I am now a fervent golfer—not good but trying hard.” In fine condition.
