Hoover, the Hoover Art Company originated in 1913, and was soon recognized as the region’s leading photography studio. With innovative lighting effects, Hoover helped revolutionize the photo industry by producing photographs, which, through soft focus and artistic lighting, took on the graceful appearance of paintings.
