Letter regarding piano editions, in part (translated): "Finally I am in a position (to my great pleasure) to send you the (handwritten) draft of the III book the edition Claviertheoretische Theil. With this first volume, including among others, the piano studies part of my work, finds it conclusion…I can claim that this edition will be of lasting value. With this large amount of material, I was not in a position to add the little details of fingerings…Please instruct the engraver to have great attention, with the clarity and also care in handling the manuscript, which is loose and patched…Please propose to Mr. Klisner to publish a compiled edition of studies for the Cis dur Praeludium, for the B dur Praeludium, and the Pracher Fugue…edited by Ferruccio B. Busoni…I expect a definitive/complete edition of the three booklets…Please start work on the manuscript immediately.” In fine condition, with show-through from writing to opposing sides and a rusty paperclip mark to one edge.
