Wonderful vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 full-length photo of Lombard posing with one of her horses, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Hamilton, My best to you, always, Carole L. Gable.” In very good to fine condition, with toned tape remnants to top and bottom borders, which could easily be matted out, crease to top left corner, and brushing to final letter of name. A lovely full portrait enhanced furthermore by Lombard’s uncommon addition of her husband’s surname; the pair were sadly only married for three years before Lombard’s tragic plane crash.
