Warrant to authorize a payment, in part: “Our Will & Pleasure is, that out of such Monies as are in or shall come to your hands for the use of Our Land Forces, you pay unto Our Right Trusty & Right Welbeloved Cousin & Councillor, Lieutenant General Charles Earl Cornwallis, the Sum of Ten thousand, four hundred, twenty Pounds, fifteen Shillings & seven pence, the same being certify’d by you to be the Sum borne on the Establishment for Our 33’d.” Signed in the upper left corner by the king.
