Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 15.5 x 11.5, May 3, 1796. King George appoints “Colonel John Hely Hutchinson of Our 84th Regiment of Foot…to be Major General.” Signed in the upper left by the king. The crisply embossed white paper seal affixed to below the signature remains fully intact. In very good condition, with scattered overall staining and old mounting remnants to lower right corner.
