Railroad industrialist (1821–1900) known as one of the ‘Big Four’ of western railroading. Partly-printed DS, signed “C. P. Huntington,” one page, 11 x 14.75, January 14, 1889. Certificate for one thousand shares of capital stock in the Newport News and Mississippi Valley Company issued to Huntington, signed at the conclusion by him as president. The certificate retains twenty of the attached dividend coupons. Double-matted and framed with a portrait of the businessman. In fine condition. Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
