Exceedingly scarce vintage 11 x 14 full-length photo of McQueen on the set of Junior Bonner, decked out in full western wear and sporting “JB” chaps, boldly signed and inscribed in thick black felt tip to a set hairdresser, “To Pat, a very lovely lady, Steve McQueen.” In fine condition, with trivial rippling along the edges. Junior Bonner, considered the gentlest of Sam Peckinpah's films, is the story of a veteran rodeo rider returning to his Arizona hometown. The film was not a commercial success, but whetted McQueen’s appetite to work with Peckinpah again, and they began filming The Getaway a few months later. The second collaboration was a financial success and one of the biggest box office hits of their careers, and Junior Bonner went on to enjoy a resurgence of popularity in the mid-2000s. McQueen is decidedly uncommon in signed photos, and this is the only 11 x 14 we have ever offered. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
