Two TLSs, one signed “Very sincerely, Edgar Wallace” and the other “Edgar Wallace,” both one page, 31 Portland Place letterhead, dated November 16, 1927, and July 30, 1929. The earlier letter, in part: “I shall be most happy to send you some books. Whether I am Liberal or Labour of Conservative I am not quite sure! But I shall offend nobody by helping the Woman’s National Liberal Federation—and I should send you some books even if I did.” The second, in part: “I don’t know what my plans are for the coming season so I cannot book a lecture, and, anyway, I am a rotten lecturer!” Wallace handwrites the salutation and makes a correction to the 1927 letter. In overall fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
