President Hayes appoints Lewis Merriam as “Postmaster at Greenfield, in the County of Franklin, State of Massachusetts.” Crisply signed at the conclusion by President Hayes and countersigned by Postmaster General David M. Key. The gold foil seal and red ribbon affixed to the lower left remain intact. In very good to fine condition, with irregular toning from ribbon. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
