Description

Bill Evans

Innovative and highly regarded jazz pianist (1929–1980) who worked briefly with Miles Davis before forming his own trio in the late 1950s. Plagued by a decades-long struggle with hepatitis and drug addition, Evans died at the age of 51. Vintage semi-glossy 7 x 9 MGM/Verve Records promotional photo of Evan sitting at his piano, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Ted, good luck in all things always, Bill Evans.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges, slight surface marks and creases, an area of surface loss to lower right corner, and some irregular ink adhesion and feathering to portions of the inscription and signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
