Preston, the superintendent of the Senate Press Gallery, in full: “Mr. Lynn sent me the little rocker made of wood from the Inaugural stands of 1949, and from the Washington Elm which was removed from the East Lawn of the Capitol Grounds a short time ago. I can’t tell you how very much I appreciate your thoughtfulness in sending me his lovely Windsor rocker. I’ll certainly keep it in my collection of souvenirs. Thank you again very much for remembering me.” Affixed to an off-white 8.5 x 11.25 sheet. In fine condition. Accompanied by a US Official Mail and Messenger Service tag taped to the original mailing envelope, the latter of which is affixed to the top reverse edge of the letter. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
