Two items: an ink signature, “Calvin Coolidge,” on an off-white 3.75 x 1.75 slip affixed to a 4.75 x 2.5 slip bearing collector’s ink notations and an affixed unknown signature on the reverse; and a TLS signed “Herbert Hoover,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, September 2, 1949. Letter to Ezra Elis, in full: “I have your most gracious note upon my birthday. I want you to know that I deeply appreciate your thought of me.” In overall fine condition, with a few light spots of soiling to Coolidge slip, and some creasing to right edge of letter.
