Godfrey Hounsfield

English electrical engineer (1919–2004) who shared the 1979 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Allan McLeod Cormack for his part in developing an early prototype of the CAT scan. Glossy 4.5 x 5.5 photo of Hounsfield posing in front of his CT scanner, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “Best wishes to Erwin, Godfrey Hounsfield.” In fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned biography packet dated November 23, 1979. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
