Warmly signed and inscribed on the first free end page in blue ballpoint, “To Paul Rimmerfors, With best wishes and warm regards. Let us all continue the work for the cause of peace, Martin Luther King.” A notation to the upper right corner notes that it was signed on December 13, 1964. Autographic condition: fine. Book condition: VG+/VG-. Rimmerfors was the president of the Swedish Peace Youth Association and invited King to Stockholm after he received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in December 1964. On December 13, thousands of young people participated in a procession and listened to the celebrated civil rights activist give an address outside the Stockholm Cathedral. Katarina Taikon, an advocate for the Roma community, also spoke about her people’s struggle at the event. Accompanied by a photocopied image of Rimmerfors next to King during this procession, and another of him between King and Taikon. A superb example dating to the time of King’s Nobel Prize, enhanced by its lengthy inscription and excellent provenance.
