Description

John Dewey

Philosopher, psychologist and educator (1859–1952). ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 8.5, December 28, 1948. Letter to Dr. Gabriel R. Mason, principal of Abraham Lincoln High School, in part: “I owe you an apology for the delay in writing but everything has been very crowded since I got your gracious letter. I shall be glad to send a photo and letter to the students when the pressure has let up…after we get settled in Key West; we are leaving there tomorrow A.M.” In fine condition, with horizontal mailing fold passing through the signature, and trivial creasing and soiling. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Dewey’s own hand. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
