TLS, one page, 8 x 11, November 22, 1905. Letter to Mrs. R. D. Hitchcock, in part: “I am very sorry indeed that I must again decline your invitation to address the Entertainment Club on one of the dates which you have been kind enough to suggest to me. The fact is I have so much to do and am so perplexed with engagements already made and with others I am importuned to make, that I have found it absolutely necessary to decline the bulk of such invitations as yours, which have reached me.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature). Accompanied by the original mailing envelope bearing collector’s ink notations. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
