DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, August 11, 1937. Agreement between Barrymore and Paramount Pictures in which he confirms and approves that “in the role of ‘Dr. Ernest Tindal’ in our photoplay tentatively entitled ‘City Hall Scandal,’ it is hereby agreed that your name will be the first featured name on the main or credit titles of the film, in all advertising and paid publicity issued by us, as well as in the cast of characters on the screen, if any…Your name shall appear in type of a size larger than that used to display the name of any other member of the cast.” Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Barrymore and countersigned by a studio official. In fine condition, with expected document wear. The film was released in November 1937 under the slightly revised title Night Club Scandal; Barrymore also appeared in several Bulldog Drummond films during this year. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
