Italian screenwriter and film director (born 1928) best known for her films The Seduction of Mimi, Swept Away, and Seven Beauties, the latter of which established her as the first woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for directing. Scarce glossy 8 x 10 New Line Cinema publicity photo of Wertmuller on the set of her 1986 film Summer Night, signed in the upper left in blue ballpoint, with an unfinished notation by Wertmuller in the lower right corner. Light bends to corners, creasing to upper right corner tip, and trivial skipping to a single letter of the signature, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
