Unusual 3.5 x 5.25 postcard photo of Knappertsbusch in near-profile, signed in the lower border, “Hans Knappertsbusch,” with an autograph letter to the music and theatre correspondent Harry E. Weinschenk penned on the reverse, in part (translated): "A thousand thanks for your kind letter with which you have delighted me—my silence was only lack of time.” Matted to an overall size of 5 x 7. Toned tape and adhesive remnants to corners and edges (affecting some writing in the letter), otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
