Sergiu Celibidache

Romanian conductor, composer, and teacher (1912–1996) whose career in music spanned over five decades and included tenures as principal conductor for the Munich Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic. TLS, one onionskin page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, February 2, 1962. In full: “Much to my surprise I have learnt that my letter to you dated January 28, 1962, has not yet been published in your paper. If I do not receive satisfaction I shall have to consider taking legal steps.” In fine condition, with the letterhead underlined in red ink by an unknown hand. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
