Letter of condolences to the widow of Horatio Wright, in full: “I have learned with deep regret of the death of your distinguished husband, and assure you of the sincere sympathy of Mrs. McKinley and myself in your great loss.” In fine condition, with slight creasing to upper left corner and a few spots of foxing. Wright was a Union general and engineer who helped build the Brooklyn Bridge and complete the Washington Monument. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
