Manuscript DS in French, signed “Louis,” one page, 9.25 x 14.5, March, 1792. Order authorizing the commissioners of the national treasury to make a currency exchange of 3,097,774 pounds, prominently signed by King Louis and countersigned at the bottom by six other officials. In fine condition, with a trimmed left edge. A desirable document signed during a dramatic point in the French Revolution, just five months before the king’s arrest and deposition.
