Exceptional vintage matte-finish 10 x 13.5 Bachrach portrait of Eisenhower in his five-star general uniform, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, “For Albert C. Jacobs—In memory of our days together at Columbia University, and with lasting appreciation of his invaluable service. With warm regard from his friend, Dwight D. Eisenhower.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 15 x 19. In fine condition. Eisenhower served as the president of Columbia University from 1948 until 1953, when he began his first term in the White House; it was at Columbia that he became friends with Albert Jacobs, professor of law and provost of the school. A charming, personal memento of his days in academia. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
