The Dalton Gang’s youngest outlaw

Ink signature, “Compliments of Emmett Dalton, July 3rd 1923,” on an off-white 4 x 2.5 slip. Expertly double-matted and framed to an overall size of 11 x 16.5. In fine condition, with uniform toning. Emmett was the youngest of the brothers that made up the legendary Dalton Gang of the Old West and was sentenced to life in prison after an attempted bank robbery in 1892. He was pardoned fourteen years later and became a reformed, respectable member of society. After moving to California to work in real estate, he also embarked on a career in the arts, capitalizing on his notoriety to publish books and begin a career in Hollywood. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
