Two items: an 8 x 10 matte-finish half-length photo of Rodgers with his piano, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Sincerely, Richard Rodgers”; and a TLS signed “Dick,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, March 28, 1963. Letter to Stan Stanley, in full: “Your letter regarding the ‘No Strings’ recordings pleased me enormously. What interests me even more is your statement that ‘The Sweetest Sounds’ is ‘a most important standard and a tremendous performance song.’ I don’t think this is too bad for a beginner–lyric writer, especially in view of the fact that he had to work with such an old composer. I hope you’re right that ‘Look No Further’ promises to be equally successful. All in all, I’m delighted and send you my thanks.” In overall fine condition.
