Alfred Dreyfus

French military officer (1859–1935) whose central role in the Dreyfus Affair, which tore French society apart and shook their faith in the military, thrust him into the international spotlight. ALS in French, signed “A. Dreyfus,” one page, 6.25 x 5.5, November 25, no year. In part (translated): "The reason why I have missed our Sunday bridge parties is that I have been suffering from a bad flu that kept me in bed for about two weeks. I am doing better now, but I will not yet be strong enough to come and play bridge this Sunday.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
