German pianist (1846–1928) and Student of Sigmund Lebert and Franz Liszt who made her first appearance in England in 1866, playing regularly at the Philharmonic and Crystal Palace. Ink signature and inscription in German on an off-white 7.75 x 10.25 card, dated Hamburg, November 1, 1871. A small image of Mehlig is affixed to the lower right. Light soiling and attempted removal of the recipient’s name, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
