As I look back on it, however, I can not help but feel that it was the uncertainty, which lasted for about two years, as to whether we would be successful in our attempts to develop a suitable barrier for the gas diffusion process. Wrapped up in this was the necessity, because of the time element, to drive ahead with the construction of the processing plant itself.
