Accompanied by a handwritten and signed letter of provenance from Duke, reading in part: “This...letter has been a part of my space collection for over 40 years. This photo…was taken shortly before we graduated in August 1965 at Edward AFB, CA…The other members of my class went on to serve our country as combat pilots. It was a distinguished class!” Capturing one of the final steps prior to joining NASA—the pinnacle of aviation—this incredible photo foreshadows the future pathways of three accomplished Apollo astronauts.
