ALS in Spanish, signed “Fran’co Sabatini,” one page, 8 x 11.75, March 27, 1770. Letter to Secretary Miguel de Muzquiz announcing the death of the painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. In fine condition, with intersecting folds. Sabatini and Tiepolo both worked on the Royal Palace of Madrid, with Sabatini working on a large expansion of the palace and Tiepolo painting ceiling frescoes in three of the rooms, including the throne room at the behest of King Charles III.
