TLS as president-elect, one page, 8 x 9.5, State of New Jersey letterhead, January 30, 1913. Letter to Sara Freeland, in part: “I am involved here in all sorts of business and I find by experience that it is futile to try and set aside a half hour or any part of an hour for an uninterrupted conversation with friends who call. I would esteem it a compliment if you would send me a few lines in writing apprising me of what it was you wished to talk over, because I can read memoranda even when I have to steal a part of my bed time.” Intersecting folds and light scattered creasing, light smudging and mirroring to text, and some scattered trivial foxing, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of the original letter to Wilson. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
