Official War Department mailing envelope, 11.5 x 5, addressed in type to his wife at the Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, signed on the left side in fountain pen with a censorship signature, “Dwight D. Eisenhower.” The envelope is postmarked November 1943, bears an Army examiner stamp below the signature, and a ‘Free’ notation in another hand. In very good condition, with scattered creases, moderate uniform toning, and a rough right edge from opening. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
