The legendary scientist at his most prolific

ALS in French, signed “L. Pasteur,” one page, 4 x 5.25, June 29, 1866. Letter to a colleague, in full (translated): “Here is my note. I prefer not to discuss at this time and content to maintain my appreciation with no comments. In this cause my learned colleague could find subject to subtleties for his final writing.” Handsomely cloth-matted and framed with a drawn image of the chemist to an overall size of 19.25 x 14.75. In fine condition, with slight show-through from adhesive to reverse.
