Cori,” one page, 6 x 4, May 4, 1981, in full: “Part of an article now in press in ‘Trends in Biochemical Sciences.’” The handwritten manuscript is unsigned, five lined pages, 8.5 x 11, titled at the top: “50 years ago, James B. Sumner and the chemical nature of enzymes.” The article offers an account of Sumner’s achievements isolating and crystallizing enzymes in 1926. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. James B. Sumner was a fellow chemist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1946 for his work in the crystallization of enzymes.
