ADS, signed “R. B. Taney Plantiffs Attorney,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 12.5, June 1797. A lengthy legal document related to the suit of Robert Swails v. Robert Fish, resulting from a financial dispute. Taney also incorporates his name, “R. B. Taney,” once in the main text, and again in an endorsement on the docketing panel. Double-matted and framed with a portrait of Taney to an overall size of 20.5 x 20, with a window on the reverse for viewing the full first page.
