Description

Otto Hahn

German chemist (1879–1968) who won the 1944 Nobel Prize for the discovery of nuclear fission. Early ALS in pencil in German, signed “Otto,” one page on a 3.5 x 5.5 postcard, June 10, 1915. Letter to his wife Edith. In part (translated): “We were previously at idiotic temperature in the trenches, ridden with immense speed back home and arrived here totally wet. As a result of that we have drunk an enormous amount of water.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
