Description

Philadelphia Phillies: 1980

Official Rawlings National League (Feeney) baseball signed on the sweet spot and side panels in blue and black ballpoint by 32 members of the 1980 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies team, including: Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, Tug McGraw, Tim McCarver, Dallas Green (ss), Bake McBride, Greg Gross, Greg Luzinski, Dick Ruthven, Larry Bowa, Bob Boone, Manny Trillo, Nino Espinosa, Warren Brustar, Dick Noles, Bob Walk, Larry Christenson, George Vukovich, John Vukovich, Garry Maddox, Ruben Amaro, Bobby Wine, Billy DeMars, Keith Moreland, Randy Lerch, Ron Reed, and five others. In very good condition, with light toning and several signatures rather faded (among the key signatures, Rose is the lightest). Laden with talent, Carlton won the 1980 National League Cy Young Award and Mike Schmidt took home both the National League and World Series MVP Awards; both would go on to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Despite being one of the oldest franchises in baseball, the 1980 team was the first to win the World Series and thus holds a special place in the hearts of collectors. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
