Project Mercury laminated star chart panel from Kranz’s personal archives, 10.75 x 4, signed in black felt tip. In fine condition, with some toned adhesive remnants. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Farthest Reaches, certifying that the panel remained in Kranz’s personal collection until it was acquired in 2010. By using the correct star chart and a clear overlay in the shape of a spacecraft window, mission controllers were able to see the same view being seen by the orbiting astronaut from his capsule window.
