War-dated TLS, one page, 5.5 x 7.5, Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force, Office of the Supreme Commander letterhead, May 8, 1945. Letter of thanks to two gentlemen of the Liberty Fig and Date Company. In part: “By coincidence your magnificent gift of fruits arrived on Victory in Europe Day. I can think of nothing nicer to enable me personally to celebrate something toward which we have worked for so many months.” Double-matted and framed with a portrait of Eisenhower in uniform and a small initialed plaque to an overall size of 16 x 13.
