Vintage black ballpoint signature and inscription, “To Carol, love John Lennon xx,” and a blue ballpoint signature, “George Harrison,” on an off-white 5 x 8 lightly-lined sheet. In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical folds passing through a few letters of each signature. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the niece of the original recipient, which reads, in part: “My aunt, Eileen Betts, who was also my godmother, worked at the Strand palace 1963/64 as a waitress it was she who obtained the autographs for me. I had been to an evening dinner and dance event at the Strand with my parents…it must have been a cold/cool evening 1963.
