Mississippi Squadron letterhead, November 13, 1862. Letter to Captain H. Walker. In full: “I send down five stoves by the Steamer ‘B’ for the following named vessels—besides your own—‘Benton,’ ‘Pittsburgh,’ ‘Cairo,’ ‘Mound City,’ ‘Louisville.’ Will you please see that they are distributed and put up on the berth decks of the vessels names.” Framed to an overall size of 8.5 x 11, which is in turn framed with a portrait of Porter and a small plaque to an overall size of 22.25 x 17.5.
