Uncommon matte-finish 3.25 x 5.25 real photo postcard of the important composer in a handsome suit, signed at the bottom in pencil by Strauss and dated November 23, 1913. Fair contrast to signature against the dark background, otherwise fine condition. Originates from the collection of American violinist and pianist Louis Persinger (1887–1966), who trained at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught at Juilliard, mentoring the likes of Yehudi Menuhin, Ruggiero Ricci, and Isaac Stern.
