TLS in German, signed “A. Einstein,” one page, 8.25 x 1, blind-stamped personal letterhead, September 28, 1938. Letter to Jack Mark in Mount Kisco, New York. In full (translated): “Dear Lord! To my great regret, I can not comply with your expressed wishes, as I unfortunately can not spare the time necessary for it.” Nicely suede-matted and framed with the original mailing envelope and a portrait of Einstein to an overall size of 25.25 x 20.5. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, and three small dings to left edge. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
