Description

“We continue to pursue what we were sent here to do—to change the direction of the nation”

TLS signed “Bill,” one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, March 24, 1993. Letter to Reverend Stan Easty, a close friend and spiritual guide. In part: “I appreciate the encouraging words. No one ever said this would be easy. Still, we continue to pursue what we were sent here to do—to change the direction of the nation—and we’re making progress on that goal every day. I am grateful for your friendship, and I hope that you will continue to pray for me as I continue to pray for God’s guidance.” In fine condition, with mild show-through from adhesive remnants to reverse. Clinton wrote this letter just three months after taking office, having just unveiled his economic plan to reduce the deficit rather than cut taxes. A fantastic letter from the very beginning of his presidency. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
