Vintage matte-finish 11 x 9.5 photo of Nimitz signing the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri, signed and inscribed in the lower border in brown fountain pen, “To Dorothy and Alden Nye—with best wishes, C. W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, U.S. Navy.” Photo also bears a pre-printed signature next to Nimitz’s image. Matted and framed to an overall size of 16.5 x 12.75. In fine condition, with a bit of light irregular ink adhesion to the signature, which remains perfectly legible. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
